My mind can only hold onto so much.

I call our pet tortoises my "hard-shelled muses." :)Madeline Mora-Summontehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05529397293165046430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873889619654138974.post-82860250222384034012014-03-20T18:31:36.400-04:002014-03-20T18:31:36.400-04:00Contessa, the feline diva familiar, is OVER THE MO...Contessa, the feline diva familiar, is OVER THE MOON about her mention and pictorial debut on your blog. Well, she was. Until the squirrel caught her attention just outside the sliding glass door. She adores being adored! She does, however, live in the now, and adoration can be fleeting. I'm pretty sure the squirrel is not on Wi-Fi, so maybe she was just conveying the news. Her motivation evades me. However, I am in the moment, around the moment, above the moment...beside myself, as we say in the South, that you would include me and my little darling in your blog, with a link to mine! Too generous!

I struggle with the information overload of which you speak, and find my inquisitive mind too engaged for my own good. The garret concept you write about in YGABIY helps TREMENDOUSLY. Setting time aside for My Touchstones, to literally and figuratively disconnect, has provided me not only a physical place, but a mental and spiritual garret, as well. The deadlines, branding, SEO optimization, Tweets, Status updates, and -- my word -- the WEATHER, can overwhelm. My garret stands ready to envelope me and help me find the solace I need for flow.

That is when a cat comes in handy. Mine, at least, allows me to pet her at will, with purrs of satisfaction that maybe, just maybe, I am her garret. Who knows? But it's nice to have a safe place to land.Vickyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08741824855490348933noreply@blogger.com
